Thanks to its excellent transport and communication services, more than ten thousand inhabitants of Vilanova commute daily to Barcelona by road and rail. Barcelona is 30 minutes away from Vilanova by car along the Pau Casals motorway and only 20 minutes from Barcelona international airport.

The other main roads are the C-31 and the A7, connecting Vilanova rapidly with neighbouring regions and other chief arteries of the country.



Public transport provides an efficient alternative for travel to and from Vilanova. The rail service is as frequent as a suburban network, and the bus service ensures fast and punctual connection with Barcelona , neighbouring towns and provincial capitals.

1.- City-link bus timetable

Buses and coaches leave Vilanova for towns and cities such as Barcelona , Sitges, Cubelles, Cunit, Calafell, Vilafranca, El Vendrell and Andorra , among others. Most of these services are in regular operation throughout the entire week. Furthermore, the Vilanova-Barcelona line has a permanent night service in both directions.


2.- RENFE railway timetable

L'Eixample de Mar district is only five minutes away from the mainline RENFE station. It is easy to travel from here to Barcelona or any other town or city on the network. More than 70 trains leave Vilanova daily en route for the centre of Barcelona . For this and other reasons, many inhabitants of Vilanova have come to regard the service provided by RENFE the equal of any suburban network of a major city.
