The construction of an underground car park with more than 300 parking spaces beneath the plaça de la Mediterrànea [Mediterranean Square] will provide Vilanova with its fourth public car park and the first of any significance to be built in the port area. With this important public service, the town will also gain a large pedestrian precinct while at the same time helping to alleviate traffic congestion in a busy area of the town centre.
